Folkecenter for Renewable Energy

The Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy is a non-profit, independent, organization that provides research, development of technology, training and information for the manufacture, industrial innovation and implementation of renewable energy technologies and energy savings in Denmark and throughout the world. Since 1984 Preben Maegaard has been director of the Folkecenter.

The World Wind Energy Institute (WWEI) is a unique educational network dedicated to renewable energy training and technology transfer. The network comprises of seven existing specialized training and research centres in five continents. The WWEI offers a ten month global education programme in wind and integrated renewable energy technology for postgraduate students from around the world. Preben Maegaard was appointed the first president of the WWEI.
